Profile
Thank you for taking the time to view my profile. Much of my work is with individuals whose childhood experiences, trauma or emotional struggles influence how they relate to themselves and others; I also work with couples in relationship distress. I can bring both individual and relationship perspectives into my work with you as they are often deeply intertwined. I am curious about “What has happened to you in your life?” and “How has that shaped the way you protect yourself and live in your world?”
I believe that by offering a space to slow down and explore what’s happening inside you, will support you to understand why you feel and react the way you do. It is possible to find healing in gently and compassionately exploring early experiences, and this can soften and change the relationship you have with yourself and your loved ones.
My approach is grounded in Emotionally Focused Therapy, attachment theory, Hakomi Mindfulness Based Somatic Psychotherapy and trauma-informed practice. I originally trained in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and over the years I have continued to deepen my understanding of how trauma, emotional regulation and our nervous system shape the way we experience love, conflict and connection.
People say they feel in a safe space with me, of a having a person they can trust to share and make sense of what has been hidden or confusing for so long. We start where you are right now and will walk the path together; healing begins with feeling not so alone.
I work with clients throughout Australia via Zoom, making it possible to access therapy from the privacy and comfort of your own home, and in person from my private practice in Daylesford Victoria. Please visit my website www.UntroubledMinds.com.au.
