Profile
I am an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker, Gestalt Psychotherapist and trainer who has also completed a Masters in Social Science (Couples Counselling) and Graduate Diploma in Relational Psychotherapeutic Supervision. I have over 25 years experience working with individuals and couples navigating the complexities of life and relationships in a world in which our core needs for connection, belonging, care and purpose are increasingly challenged and sidelined. Emotionally Focussed Couples Therapy provides a sound, evidence-based framework for helping couples to increase awareness of the core attachment needs that sit beneath the reactive patterns that rupture their bond, and to develop and nurture their connection for a stronger, secure bond that is sustainable into the future.
I enjoy working with couples in all relationship structures with respect, curiosity and acceptance for who you are and what you know about yourselves and what you want and need. I particularly enjoy working with couples who want to understand and address their relational patterns early in their relationship. This work is challenging, rewarding and engaging, and it will support and require you to look deep inside and develop compassion for yourself and your partner.
