Jackie is a qualified and experienced Clinical Psychotherapist with a Master of Counselling & Psychotherapy, Bachelor of Counselling and a specialist qualification in couple counselling attained from Relationships Australia Victoria. She is a Clinical Member with the Psychotherapy & Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) and the Australian Counselling Association (ACA). Jackie has undergone further training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Emotion Focused Therapy for both individuals and couples and is a registered member of the Melbourne Community for Emotionally Focused Therapy (MCEFT). Extensive study and training has provided Jackie with a strong theoretical orientation that her client’s benefit from through her ability to provide a balanced and integrative approach. Jackie’s approach is client-centered and is grounded in attachment and systems theory and includes acceptance and commitment therapy, emotion focused therapy, schema therapy, dialectal behaviour therapy, cognitive behaviour therapy, internal family systems therapy and psychodynamic psychotherapy. Jackie endeavours to formulate a well-considered and tailor-made treatment plan that respects her client’s uniqueness, their life journey, and particular situation.
Jackie works with couples, adolescents and individual adults. Jackie has experience managing a complex caseload who present a broad range of issues, including couple issues, anxiety, depression, trauma, self-harm, difficult life-transitions, identity and personality concerns and social-relational and emotional issues.
