Access to experience – of our loved ones and our own – is the greatest guiding star for life. We all deserve help achieving that. In Emotionally Focused Therapy sessions my aim is to provide people with the safety, support and courage they need to navigate relationships with others and themselves.
I have completed all mandatory training for both Emotionally Focused Couples and Individual Therapy (EFCT and EFIT), together with extensive additional training in the model. I have had the pleasure of contributing as a committee member for MCEFT (Melbourne Community for EFT) and I facilitate and participate in several EFT peer learning groups. I receive regular professional supervision of my work and continue to study the model on a daily basis. I hold a degree in Intercultural Communication from Charles University in Prague and am currently in the final stages of completing a second degree in Psychology.
Prior to my private practice, I dedicated 15 years of my professional life to building close supportive relationships with people while working as an educator, yoga instructor and community interpreter. When I started working as an EFT therapist, I immediately felt a sense of relief. I had found a model that works with people exactly the way I wish to work with them: EFT isn’t forceful or rigid yet it is a confident and evidence-based approach to tapping into our experience, decreasing distress and strengthening bonds.
